Debt relief settles the dust

“We’ve got to fix this!” I should have seen this coming. I had long suspected something was up, but I didn’t know actually what it was.  I’m not one to point any fingers, but I am not the only one in my family who has decided that it is far better to go through life blissfully ignoring any problems unless they are life threatening.  This is how we wound up with some financial difficulties.  I knew it was important, but I didn’t think  that screaming until the vein over your temple throbs out a disco beat was actually the best solution.  I tried to keep a low profile until the dust cleared, but I didn’t really have that kind of time.  I needed for this to get resolved, at least temporarily so that I could maybe get some work done.  I finally suggested that it might be a good idea to look into debt relief.

LPN salary hopefuls

The LPN lounge was crowded.  Everyone was drinking coffee and enjoying the stale doughnuts as they waited for the staff meeting to begin.  The supervisory nurse had a habit of call meetings and showing up several minutes late.  The supervisor was also the first person to tap her watch and sigh impatiently if anyone arrived one millisecond after the meeting was to start.  The coffee was especially disgusting today, but the most experienced nurses knew that it was better to stick around and drink in the terribleness than go out for good coffee.  Today’s topic was the average LPN salary.  The hope was that raises were going to happen this year.  Since the hiring freeze last year, most of the nurses were working extra hours with no raise in pay. As the minutes ticked by, they consensus was that there weren’t going to be any raises and that maybe the supervisor was trying to avoid telling them.
